30.06.2009 After World Milk Day, I hope that members are now turning their attention to World School Milk Day. This takes place on the last Wednesday in September, so this year it will be on 30 September. However, as the message below shows, people are free to hold the celebrations on whatever day (or month) that suits them best. We only suggest a day, as many people like to be part of an event that this taking place simultaneously around the world. I look forward to receiving details of planned celebrations. Michael ============================ Good Morning, Ontario has decided to repeat many of its WSMD efforts from last year. The main focus will be on free milk given to all Elementary School Milk Program Schools. However, there is a problem with production and delivery for Sept 30th. We are considering changing WSMD into WSMD week – either the week of Sept 14th or 21st. Do you anticipate any problems with this? We wish we could avoid this but our major supporters (the dairies) have a real issue with the existing timeline. We would appreciate your comments and suggestions. Sincerely, Alison Verge |
